I support people in finding their true self outside of what they may be conditioned to believe about themselves. I utilize a client centered approach and practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy alongside Emotionally Focused Therapy.
My goal is to create a space for acceptance and curiosity of relearning parts of ourselves that we sometimes lose through life-changing events. As an immigrant, I understand the cultural shocks and isolation some may feel which creates a sense of loss of identity. It is important for me to support each person to find self-acceptance and balance.
My parents, younger brother, and I immigrated to the United States in 2002, not the ideal time to chase the American dream. The number 4 became symbolic to us as it was all we had in this country, each other. I value relationships and connections, so it was not surprising I am now a Marriage & Family Therapist.
I had the opportunity to work with the Prison Education Project from 2017-2020 in juvenile detention centers and in state prisons. I facilitated a “Forgiveness & Healing” group with men serving life in state prisons and traveled to England in 2018 to talk about our work and mission.
I continued my work in the San Diego area within psychiatric hospitals and non-profit organizations that focus on supporting people with severe mental illness. I graduated from Alliant International University in 2022 and have continued my work with individuals and families. Since 2025, I began working alongside Rob and have worked on growing our private practice.
I grew up in a pacific coastal town in Mexico and immigrated to the United States by the age of 6. The transition of culture, language, and family isolation brought me to choose psychology as my path. A skill I learned early on is to adapt and embrace the uncertainty that comes with being away from what you know. The curiosity of the human experience and culture has allowed me to serve multiple communities throughout my career.
My intention is to listen to you, help you reach your goals, and cheer you on. I will create a space for authenticity and learn that there is no such thing as wrong turns.
